General Terms

United Vets Group Pty Ltd (ABN 87 169 353 342) of Unit 1,277 Lane Cove Road, Macquarie Park, NSW,2113 (United Vets Group) is the promoter of the “United Vets Group Refer a Friend Discount Promotion” (promotion).

Information on how to participate in this promotion form part of these terms.

To the extent of any inconsistency between these terms and other information provided about the promotion, these terms prevail.

By submitting the name of a friend to us as part of the promotion you agree to these terms.

This promotion is valid until further notice.

This promotion and these terms are subject to change by us at any time and without direct notice.

Any changes to the terms will be posted on the United Vets Group website.

This promotion is not combinable with any other offer.

The United Vets Group Privacy Policy governs the terms and conditions under which we collect and use your personal information and the personal information of any friend you refer to us. By participating in the promotion, you, and any friend you refer to us are deemed to be aware of and to agree to the United Vets Group Privacy Policy and by supplying the name of a friend to us you have indicated your agreement to this Policy.

Details of the Promotion

If you have a friend who you believe may be interested in becoming a Member of United Vets Group you may, with the consent of your friend in writing (for example, by way of email), provide us with the name and contact details of your friend and a copy of their written consent, by completing the form provided to you by one of our representatives. Your friend must consent to:

1. you providing their personal information to us; 
2. us making contact with them to discuss United Vets Group and membership options; and
3. us notifying you if they join as a Member of United Vets Group.

For the purposes of these terms the expression “friend” means any person you refer to us and may include veterinary colleagues and/or owners of veterinary practices.

There is no limit to the number of friends you may refer to us, but we may decline to accept referrals from you in our absolute discretion.

When you complete the form, you must also provide us with your name and contact details.

In completing the form and providing us with your friend’s name and contact details and a copy of their written consent, you warrant to us that at the time of providing us with your friend’s name and contact details, your friend has not withdrawn their consent. 

You must notify us immediately if your friend withdraws their consent.

Subject to these terms, including the clauses dealing with conditions and eligibility criteria, if your friend obtains United Vets Group Membership within three (3) months (discount eligibility period) of you providing us with your friend’s name and contact details via the form, and your friend remains a member for the qualifying period (i.e. 3 months from sign up), then you and your friend will receive a discount on your membership fees in the following quarter.

The amount of the discount (discount) will be as specified in the form.

We may vary the amount of the discount from time to time in our absolute discretion and need not give you or your friend notice of any change in the discount amount.

For the avoidance of doubt, despite any variation in the amount of the discount, the amount of the discount to which you and your friend are entitled is the amount specified on the form at the time you complete that form.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to participate in the promotion and receive a discount:

1. you must at the time you complete the form be a current Member of United Vets Group and you and your friend must have attained the age of 18 years.
2. the friend you refer must never have obtained a Membership with United Vets Group previously.

Conditions and other terms

We will notify you if a friend referred by you joins United Vets Group as a Member during the discount eligibility period.

We will discount your membership fee and your friend’s membership fee in the quarter following expiry of your friend’s qualifying period (i.e. 3 months from sign up). 

We do not have to apply the discount if: you have breached these terms, your friend does not see out to qualifying period for their membership.

It is your responsibility to ensure that you provide us with correct and up to date and current contact details for you and for your nominated address.

If at any time we are of the opinion that you or your friend referred have provided false or misleading details to us, we may in our absolute discretion refuse to apply the discount and we have no obligation to provide reasons to you for our decision in this regard.

We may, in our sole and absolute discretion, at any time and from time to time determine to refuse to accept referrals of friends from you and are not required to assign any reason for our decision in that regard.

You consent to your personal information being used by United Vets Group for marketing purposes. You authorise and consent to us contacting you by email or telephone. If you prefer not to receive marketing information from us, you may opt out at any time by providing notice to us or clicking on the unsubscribe link within any email we may send you.

You agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless in respect to all claims, loss and damage, costs and expense incurred or suffered by us, United Vets Group, directly or indirectly related to any allegation or assertion by a friend referred by you that they did not consent to you providing their details to us, and making contact with them to discuss United Vets Group, and us notifying you that they obtained a Membership with United Vets Group
